2022 USATF Region 15 Junior Olympic Cross Country Championships

Age Division is determined by athlete’s age as of 12/31/2022

SCHEDULE:
 

Eligibility Requirements:

Individuals: Current USATF membership is required to compete.  Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted prior to registration and participation.

Teams: Only registered USATF member clubs may enter a team.  All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with that club as part of their USATF membership.  To enter a team, a club must complete the team entry/declaration process during online registrations.  Only athletes listed on the team declaration roster will be eligible to represent the club at the Association, Regional or National championships.  

Athlete must have participated in and qualified from the Association Championship (Nevada, San Diego Imperial, or Southern Callifornia) to register for the Region 15 Championship.

ENTRY FEES & DEADLINES:

On-Time Registration: Entries are expected to open Tuesday November 15, 2022 about 2:00 PM, but entry opening is dependent on when results from each Association Championship have been uploaded. Must be completed by Friday November 18 at 4:00 AM

Individual Entries: $15.00 per athlete      Team Entries: No charge 

PAYMENTS:
 

Club Administrators and Unattached Athletes should register online at link listed above. Late entries will not be allowed.  Online registration is currently open.  Fees must be paid online by the close of registration. ADVANCEMENTS-From Region to Nationals:

Top 30 individuals and top 5 teams in each age group will advance to the National Championships. Age groups 15-16 and 17-18 will be combined in team scoring only, the top 10 teams will advance. The Region 15 Championships held on Sunday, November 20^th, 2022 at Craig Ranch Park in North Las Vegas, NV serves as the qualifying meet for the 2022 USATF National Junior Olympic Championship.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING:  

Craig Ranch Regional Park is located at 628 W. Craig Rd, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89032. The entrance to the park off of Commerce Street provides the most immediate access to the area of the park where the meet will be held.

I-15 : From I-15 take exit 48 Craig Rd. You will go west on Craig Rd for about 2 miles and make a right turn on to N Commerce St. The entrance to the parking lot will be on the left.

Meet Day Information

 USATF Nevada tent will be set up near the start line area and team packets and individual athlete’s info can be obtained here.  

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition, chest-high on the front of their jerseys.  Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes/teams and can be obtained from packet pick up tent.

AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top thirty individuals in each age division. Award can be picked up at the USATF tent.  

TEAM SCORING: 8 athletes on the team entry/declaration form may be declared as scoring athletes.  The top 5 finishers among the declared runners will score.

EVENT RESULTS: Finished Results Nevada will provide live event results during the meet, please visit www.finishedresultsnv.com. Final event results will be posted at USATF Region 15 Junior Olympic Championships - Meet Info - Cross Country Meet (athletic.net)  following the conclusion of the meet.
