8 & under (born 2014 +)
9 - 10 (born 2012-2013)
11 - 12 (born 2011-2010)
13 - 14 (born 2008-2009)
15 - 16 (born 2007-2006)
17 - 18 (born 2004-2005)
* athletes born in 2003 are also eligible if they do not turn 19 on or before 7/25/2022
Individuals: Only U.S. citizens, aliens living in the United States and foreign exchange students are eligible to compete in these Championships. See the USATF Rules for more information and exceptions. A competitor must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no "moving up" in any events, including relays. Competitors in the 8 & Under, 9 - 10 and 11 - 12 age divisions may compete in a maximum of three (3) events, including relays. Competitors in the 13 - 14, 15 - 16 and 17 - 18 age divisions may compete in a maximum of four (4) events, including relays. Combined events are not included in the event count. All athletes must be 2022 members of USATF in good standing.
Relay Teams: Only registered 2022 USATF member clubs may enter a relay team(s). All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with and members of that club as part of their USATF membership. ENTRY PROCESS:
Individual Entries: $8 per event
Relay Entries: $32 per relay team
Decathlon/Heptathlon: $0 per event (will not be contested at the Nevada Association Championship)
Triathlon/Pentathlon: $0 per event (will not be contested at the Nevada Association Championship)
Club Administrators and Unattached Athletes should register online at USATF Nevada Youth Track and Field Association Championship - Registration - Track & Field Meet (athletic.net) by June 7, 2022 at 11:59 PM. If there are questions about entries after June 7, Please email Kisha M Finch at drkishafinch@gmail.com with the athlete's name, usatf number, and the events in which he/she would like to participate. Payment instructions will be sent in a follow up email with confirmation of your registration. Please remember that all participants must have a current USATF membership and be date of birth verified in order to register.
Online registration is currently open. Pre-authorization of a credit card will be required for team entries and unattached entries will not be accepted without completion of payment.

DATE OF BIRTH VERIFICATION
USATF National Championships require that the registrants are date-of-birth verified. Members are mandated to upload/submit their birthdate verification document when completing their membership profile on the USATF Connect system. There may be other competitions that require this mandate. Check event eligibility requirements carefully when registering for an event.
DOCUMENTS SUBMITTED FOR BIRTHDATE VERIFICATION MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN FIVE (5) BUSINESS DAYS (EXCLUDING HOLIDAYS) PRIOR TO THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE OF THE USATF SANCTIONED OR SPONSORED EVENT THAT THE REGISTRANT IS SEEKING ENTRY INTO.
Date-of-Birth verification documents must be uploaded through USATF Connect. If you are having trouble uploading these documents, please reach out to the USATF National Office. BE ADVISED THAT BIRTHDATE VERIFICATION DOCUMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED OR UPLOADED BY THE NATIONAL OFFICE. PROCEDURES FOR UPLOADING THESE DOCUMENTS IN THE USATF CONNECT SYSTEM MUST BE ADHERED TO AND THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS. DOCUMENTS SENT TO THE NATIONAL OFFICE WILL BE RETURNED AND THE VERIFICATION WILL NOT BE PROCESSED.
IF A DOCUMENT IS ILLEGIBLE IT WILL BE INVALIDATED AND WILL NOT BE PROCESSED. INVALIDATED DOCUMENTS WILL NOT RESULT IN AN EXTENSION OF THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE. NO EXTENSION WILL BE GIVEN FOR INVALIDATED DOCUMENTS THAT REQUIRE RE-SUBMISSION. THE FIVE (5) DAY DEADLINE WILL BE ADHERED TO.
DOCUMENTS WILL REMAIN A PERMANENT PART OF THE MEMBER PROFILE AND WILL NOT REQUIRE RE-SUBMISSION.
SUBMITTED DOCUMENTS/DATA PROVIDED TO USATF WILL BE HOSTED ON A SECURE PLATFORM IN USATF CONNECT. ASSOCIATION OFFICERS/EMPLOYEES PERMITTED TO VIEW MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION WITHIN THE SYSTEM HAVE BEEN REQUIRED TO HAVE SUBMITTED THE MANDATED USATF DATA PROTECTION POLICY AGREEMENT.
Accepted verification documents include copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license, or U.S. government issued identification.
WAIVER: All athletes who participate in the USATF Junior Olympic Program must complete the Junior Olympic Participant Waiver and Release form. This form is already integrated in the online entry system and can be completed electronically; it can also be obtained via your association. All forms must be submitted at the first round of the Junior Olympic series.
AWARDS: USATF Junior Olympic medals will be awarded to the top three (3) individuals and the top three (3) relay teams in each event of each age division.
ADVANCEMENTS: The top 8 individuals and relay teams in each event of each age division will advance to the USATF Region 15 Championships to be held on June 23 - 26, 2022 at Glen Orange HS (2200 Glenridge Rd Escondido, CA 92027). Advancements must be completed by declaring at Region 15 athletic.net page. Declaration will open after the completion of the qualifying meets for each association in Region 15.
The National Junior Olympic Championships will be held on July 25-31, 2022 in Sacramento, California. The top 5 athletes at the Region 15 Championships will qualify for the National Championships, in combined events the top 2 athletes will qualify. Information is available at:

All age groups are 8&U 9-10 11-12 13-14 15-16 17-18, girls will precede boys for all running events, except hurdles. Events will be on a rolling schedule.
Due to the facility, Javelin for 13-14 G/B 15-16 G/B 17-18G/B, 2000m Steeplechase for 15-16G/B 17-18G/B, and Hammer Throw for 15-16G/B 17-18G/B will NOT be contested at the Nevada Association Track and Field Championships. In order to be waived directly to the Region 15 Championships, all participants must register and pay for their event at the Association level. This counts as an event toward your maximum event number. Questions regarding this policy can be sent to drkishafinch@gmail.com.
In order to get accurate participation numbers for the combined events (Triathlon, Pentathlon, Heptathlon, and Decathlon) that will be contested at the Region 15 Championships, we are asking that you register at the Association level, as well. There is no charge for this registration. And as stated above, combined events do not count toward your maximum event count..
In the scheduled preliminary round, if there are 8 competitors or less registered for the event or there are 8 competitors or less that check in for the preliminary, those competitors will be waived to the final. The final will run at the scheduled time of the final for that event as listed above..
IMPLEMENT WEIGH-IN: Will begin1 hour prior to the start of field events each day. Implement weigh in will be in the storage shed next to the concession area.
EVENT CHECK-IN: There will be separate check-in areas for Running and Field events. Athletes must check in at these designated areas 45 minutes prior to the event's scheduled starting time. All athletes will be required to remain in the designated warm-up areas after checking in.
COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition and on the front on their jerseys only. If an athlete loses the bib number, a replacement can be purchased for a fee of $5.00. Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes at packet pick up.
EVENT RESULTS: During competition, event results will be posted at www.finishedresults.com
PROTESTS: There will be a $75.00 fee for all protests. Protests must be submitted to the Protest Referee at once and not later than 30 minutes after a result has been announced/posted. The protest fee will be refunded if the protest is upheld.
